Our broad outreach activities and free eye camps are intended to target marginalized groups such as children, women, the elderly, disabled people, and other occupational groups. We make sure that even the most isolated and underprivileged individuals receive essential eye health services by partnering with local organizations and making use of mobile eye care units. Our comprehensive approach, which includes screenings, medical procedures, treatments, and education, seeks to improve the overall health and quality of life in the communities.
Children
Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust is highly committed to safeguarding children’s eye health. We offer monthly eye exams, vision tests, and corrective eyeglasses through free eye campaigns in schools and community centers. Early detection and treatment of eye diseases can help children avoid long-term visual difficulties and boost their academic development, allowing them to attain their full potential. Under the “SarvaShikshanaAbhiyana” program, over 4 lakh government school students were screened and treated free of cost in Udupi.
Women
Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust is committed to addressing the unique eye health needs of women. We offer complete eye care through free eye campaigns, including regular examinations and treatments for glaucoma and dry eye, which are more common among women. Our outreach initiatives improve the general health and quality of life of women by providing them with information about eye health and facilitating the access to necessary care.
Disabled Children

Truck Drivers
Truck drivers rely significantly on their vision to ensure safe driving. The Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust offers specialized eye care services to truck drivers through free eye campaigns, such as regular vision examinations, treatment for disorders that can impair driving, and the provision of corrective lenses. Road safety free eye camps have been conducted since 2021, screening around 10,000+ truck drivers across the country in association with Allergan & Sightsavers.
Orphans

The Nethra Jyothi Charitable Trust is dedicated to delivering free eye examinations, treatments, and eyeglasses to orphans through our free eye programs.
